2Smells Great but doesn't lastJan 02, 2013
By JD Infoworm
when I first read the reviews for this product, I didn't understand what other reviewers meant when they said that it didn't last. Well I do now. When I first got the box I was excited to plug it in because this was the only fragrance that both my wife and I really liked. So when it got here I opened it up and put it together and set it on #1, this way I would be sure that it didn't get to strong and if I wanted it stronger I would put it on #2. The first week it was really nice, people who came to the house would right away comment on the fragrance and say that they really liked the smell and that it wasn't over powering and that they would like to try it out. This was great because it was validating my choice making and life was good. The following week I noticed that the fragrance wasn't as strong and by the end of the second week my wife said that when she came home from the store and walked in through the front door that the fragrance had now decreaced by as much as 3/4 and so I put it on #2 and nothing. By the third week, the smell was so light that I decided to plug it in the bathroom in hopes that it would at least be enough for that small space and that is where it lasted for an other three days and I finally changed the bottle with an other fragrance and plugged it back in the front room. Sadly the same thing happened to the second bottle and in fact died faster than the first bottle by 2-3 days. I don't have any idea why this happened but I don't think I'll be paying that much for something that only lasts one to two weeks. So it gets two stars cause it lasted 2 weeks twice. I'll finish what I have left but will not buy again. I hope this helps?

5Claire Burke is still the bestMar 03, 2012
By Saoirse the dancer
Other products have oil warmers that 'go bad' very quickly, but I've never had that problem with anything from Claire Burke. The oils are more concentrated, thus smell better. They last longer, too. 'Original' is still the greatest home fragrance I ever smelled.

4Claire Burke - Apple Jack and PeelMar 03, 2011
By William Toth Jr.
I bought 4 bottles of warmer refills of Apple Jack and Peel from E-Bay and was slightly disappointed in 2 areas. First, even on low settings the bottle lasted 45 days and more importantly the fragrance was not quite the same as the spray can. (I Tested both and would give the spray can a 5) The warmer-fragrance was more perfume/chemical like in nature (but still good). The warmer refill of Apple and Spice fragrance is not as "defined" as the spray is, IMO. In all, Claire Burke's fragrances are generally better than most.

I just wanted to add that the spray apple jack and peel that I have is fairly old. The recommended price on the back was $8.50 and has a 1999 date. I read on some other reviews that some of the newer spray fragrances are not the same as the old and I wanted to let the readers know that I compared the warmer to an old version of Apple Jack and Peel. The little that I have left of the old spray fragrance is so precious that I use it sparingly.

4Best Claire Burke "flavor"Nov 22, 2012
By Sandra Mentecki "Shop Girl Sandy"
I purchased this multi-pack of Claire Burke Frangrance Warmer Refills in the Original scent to go with the Warmer Plug-Ins I purchased (Claire Burke Electric Fragrance Warmer Plug-In). I was excited to be able to find both at Prime eligible sellers since I cannot find them locally anymore.

This scent, if you have never smelled it, is a warm noted scent that is reminiscent of aromatic pipe tobacco, cedar and a bit of lavender (I know this isn't how the manufacturer describes it but that's what it smells like to me). It's very clean smelling, not floral-y at all. It has always been my favorite Claire Burke home fragrance.

The only reason I didn't give it a five star rating is because the Warmer Plug-in these are used with could give off a bit more fragrance, it kind of gets lost in a larger room (see my review of the Warmer Plug-ins for more details including room sizes).

3Fragrance throw has a short lifeOct 20, 2012
By Jane R. Schwartz
The Claire Burke (Original fragrance) warmer refills were rather disappointing because they didn't last long despite having been placed on the lowest setting. I got about 20 days of lovely diffused fragrance throw throughout our large great room, then it dissipated and is hardly noticeable unless you are close to the warmer. Pretty pricey for a month's worth of use. Had the same experience with the warmer in our small powder room, so it can't be the room size. My original purchase about 18 months ago seemed to last longer. It was a diferent fragrance than the "Original", but that fragrance has been discontinued. Since we have multiple cats, using the difusser reeds or pot pourri is not an option, so guess I'm stuck buying the warmer refills for the holidays. But will have to come up with another alternative for everyday use--perhaps reverting to using the room spray. Too bad because the concept of the electric warmers is a great one. It just needs more work to be cost effective.
